Hugo Garcia joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2022 as an associate in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Garcia’s practice focuses on representing private and public sector unions and their members in state and federal litigation, arbitration hearings, and administrative proceedings, including before the National Labor Relations Board. He also works on client matters related to compliance with federal regulations.
Mr. Garcia received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from LMU Loyola Law School. While in law school, he was awarded the Peggy Browning Fund Fellowship in 2020 & 2021. He also served as a fellow at the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) International Union in Washington D.C. and as a law clerk at Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld. Mr. Garcia also provided pro bono assistance to clients at Bet Tzedek Legal Services.
Before attending law school, Mr. Garcia organized immigrant workers around economic and social justice issues. After organizing campaigns with the AFL-CIO, he worked on legislative bills and amendments with the labor policy team at the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions under Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) in Washington D.C. He is fluent in Spanish.
