Shane Reed earned his juris doctor from UC Law San Francisco (formerly known as UC Hastings College of the Law) in 2023, after receiving a B.A. in political theory from UC San Diego in 2017. Mr. Reed joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2023 as an associate in the Emeryville office after clerking for the firm in 2022.
Mr. Reed represents unions and workers in a variety of labor and employment law matters, including in representation and unfair labor practice proceedings matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and in labor arbitrations.
While in law school, Mr. Reed successfully represented low-income workers in wage and hour cases through UC Law’s Individual Representation Clinic. Mr. Reed was also selected to participate in UC Law’s Refugee and Human Rights Clinic, where he secured asylum status for his client.
Prior to law school, Mr. Reed built and renovated hiking trails with the National Park Service in the Eastern Sierra. He also served as a JusticeCorps Fellow in the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda, where he provided legal information to self-representing litigants regarding family law, housing, small claims issues, and guardianship matters.
Mr. Reed is licensed to practice law in California. He is fluent in Spanish.
