Xochitl Lopez joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2015. Ms. Lopez’s practice focuses on traditional labor law. She has significant experience appearing before the National Labor Relations Board, the California Public Employment Relations Board, and other administrative forums, as well as litigating in state and federal court. Ms. Lopez also represents clients in immigration-related employment matters.
Prior to joining WRR, Ms. Lopez worked at another union-side firm, where she represented private and public sector labor unions and prosecuted individual and class actions in wage-and-hour lawsuits.
Ms. Lopez received her juris doctor from U.C. Davis School of Law in 2012, graduating with Order of the Coif honors for academic excellence. Before entering law school, Ms. Lopez worked as a staff organizer and international representative with the United Auto Workers (UAW), primarily representing workers in public higher education, but also in the auto and gaming sectors. During her time with UAW, Ms. Lopez also served as the first elected president of a newly organized 6,000-member statewide local.
Ms. Lopez is licensed to practice law in California. She is fluent in Spanish.
