Norey Lee Navarro joined the Los Angeles office of Weinberg Roger & Rosenfeld in 2023. She represents and advises Taft-Hartley employee benefit trust funds that provide retirement, health and welfare, training, and other collectively bargained benefits to represented employees. Ms. Navarro develops and manages collections matters through all stages of litigation. She further assists in litigation on behalf of unions in matters involving discrimination, the LMRDA, and ERISA-based violations. Her practice at WRR centers around recovering what employees or their benefit plans are owed through litigation in state and federal courts, employment and labor arbitrations, and administrative hearings. Ms. Navarro also represents clients in immigration-related employment matters.
Ms. Navarro has dedicated her career to providing client-centered and high-quality legal services to underserved communities. Prior to joining WRR in California, Ms. Navarro worked under a collective bargaining agreement at a nonprofit organization in Bronx, New York, where she represented low-income tenants in defense and affirmative litigation in civil court, state court, and federal court. In this role, Ms. Navarro was part of the rapid expansion of housing rights representation through the implementation of Universal Access to Counsel, a city law that ensures legal representation for low-income New Yorkers facing eviction. Prior to practicing in New York, Ms. Navarro practiced labor law in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, representing low wage workers in contract negotiations, and wage and hour, harassment, and discrimination disputes. Ms. Navarro also practiced immigration law, and represented immigrant and refugee families in removal defense and affirmative immigration matters.
Ms. Navarro is licensed to practice law in California and New York.
