Bisma Shahbaz joined Weinberg Roger & Rosenfeld in 2020 as part of the firm’s ERISA practice group. In this capacity, Ms. Shahbaz advises clients involved in withdrawal liability and collections matters, fiduciary duty litigation, real estate transactions, investment manager agreements, and third-party liability/subrogation issues. She also provides counsel on various issues relating to pension and health and welfare trust funds.
Ms. Shahbaz earned her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 2019 after receiving her undergraduate degree in International Relations with a focus on Peace and Conflict from the University of San Francisco in 2016. In law school, Ms. Shahbaz was selected to participate in the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic, where she represented low-income clients in wage-and-hour and unemployment discrimination cases while assisting District of Columbia residents in administrative matters.
Ms. Shahbaz, a member of the ABA’s Labor and Employment Law section, is licensed to practice law in California.
