Michaela joined Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld in 2021, completing her fist year in Emeryville before returning to Los Angeles. While in law school, she clerked for an Administrative Law Judge at the Los Angeles office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 2019 and worked at Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld as a clerk. As an undergraduate, Michaela spent her summers as an intern at the National Labor Relations Board and the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Michaela’s work includes handling labor arbitrations and litigation, appellate litigation, advising unions, representing unions in both PERB and NLRB unfair labor practice proceedings, and employment litigation.

During law school, Michaela co-founded the Labor and Employment Law Society at UCI Law. She participated in the Appellate Litigation Clinic, and argued the case of Route v. Garland, 996 F.3d 968 (9th Cir. 2021). During law school, Michaela provided over 300 hours of pro bono legal service to public sector unions and low-income workers, including winning more than $7,000 for one worker in a Labor Commissioner hearing

Michaela is active in the American Bar Association (ABA). She served one term on the Board of Governors and in the House of Delegates as the Law Student At-Large to the ABA Board of Governors in 2019-2020. She is currently the California Lawyers Association Young Lawyer Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates. Michaela is also active in the Section of Labor and Employment Law and served one term on the Section Council as the Law Student Liaison. She is currently a co-chair of the Section’s New and Young Lawyers Affinity Group, and a member of the Developing Labor Law Committee.

Michaela proudly comes from a union family with members of the AFT, SAG-AFTRA, UFCW, and the Ironworkers.
