NLRB Issues Complaint for Unilateral Implementation of E-Verify

Utilizing a precedent-setting settlement negotiated by WRR, Region 20 issued a complaint in Case 20-CA-084010 against a San Francisco Hyatt Hotel for unilaterally implementing E-Verify.  The complaint seeks termination of the employer’s enrollment in E-Verify and reinstatement and backpay for employees who were terminated while contesting a tentative non-confirmation (prior to receiving a final non-confirmation notice), and for those not given an opportunity to contest the tentative non-confirmation at all.
